TEHRAN (INIC)- Iranian scientists managed to make AFM (Atomic Force Microscope) to put Iran among ten AFM manufacturing countries.

AFM is an instrument for analyzing surface properties and surface constructions of different materials at nanometer scales.

Ariapajooh Co. managed to manufacture the microscope after day to day research activities and organized surveys on nano-scale movements, nano-operators and nanosensors.

"Laboratory instruments in nanotechnology areas like AFM, are very important in developing nanotechnology view, and can also lead into many advances and researches in this field. Fighting the obstacles emerged due to the absence of this instrument in Iran, our company has decided to manufacture it from the sketch," Shahmoradi, Director of Ariapajooh Co. told INIC.

Moreover, the Iranian-made AFM has some priorities to its foreign counterparts, including lower price and capability of adding advanced control theories.

"Once it is financially supported, this AFM microscope can soon be mass-produced" Shahmoradi added.
