Second Iran Nanotechnology Exhibition was held on Nov. 4-8, 2009 in Tehran. At the end of the exhibition, the Iran Nano-awards ceremony which is an event to recognize top nanotechnologists took place. Professor Yusuf Z. Menceloglu from Sabanci university was selected as the best researcher in ECO region countries. He published 19 articles in ISI journals, 3 books and 3 patents.
Professor Yusuf. Z. Menceloglu did his undergraduate work on Chemistry at the Karadeniz Technical University, Turkey and graduate work (MSc and PhD) on Polymer Chemistry at the Istanbul Technical University, Turkey. He got his PhD in 1991 and for postdoctoral studies, he joined DeSimone research group at University of North Carolina, Chapell Hill, USA. In 2000 he joined the faculty of Sabanci University where he is currently a professor of Materials Science and Engineering.
